Temporary Performance Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand the daily priorities & responsibilities of seasonal employees; direct and reinforce at all times Complete checklist of shift duties as required Pull necessary reports and information to perform functions of the position.
Respond clearly and timely to questions regarding the basics of measurable and trackable work that supports the pay for performance model.
Stay current on who is responsible for trackable tasks throughout your shift monitoring the engagement and completion of those tasks.
Oversee and lead seasonal team members staff daily performance, attendance & break maintenance.
Adhering to proper protocol, perform corrective action conversations with team members falling short of meeting performance, attendance, behavioral expectations.
Follow through with consistent documentation on applicable actions within the team member record.
Responsible for documenting situations that are part of a corrective action, coaching session, termination, or investigation.
Act with urgency on any instances of egregious behavior including but not limited to time clock fraud, physical or verbal threats, policy violations.
Recognize and encourage high performing seasonal team members Collaborate and share information with HR assistant and/or scheduling with timeclock, attendance concerns Coordinate with Warehouse Leads on traffic control, staying in touch with ever-changing priorities.
Work closely with security guards regarding time fraud issues, requesting camera footage and other information Review video and ask for support with time verification Mediate Seasonal team member concerns, complaints, and partner with or escalate to a non-seasonal lead or manager if needed Additional Essential Duties and Responsibilities during PEAK season and other high-volume datesThis position is specific to Peak season; all job functions are listed above.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Does not include rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; delivering performance appraisals; and resolving problems.
Assists with supervision of all warehouse team members carrying out the functions critical to Peak season such as shipping, packing, bin running and bin filling, to name a few.
Carries out duties in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Assist with training seasonal team members as requested.
Assist with planning, assigning, and directing work Assist with providing guidance and feedback on delivery of tasks and basic work expectations Minimum required education and
Experience:
Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
Preferred
Qualifications:
(if any) Prior experience managing and leading direct reports Understanding and/or knowledge of basic employment regulations Experience in conflict management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Must be able to have coaching and accountability conversations with individuals in professional and calm manner in a chaotic environment.
Must have basic computer skills.
EX:
Typing, using basic excel, navigating timecards, navigating admin.
Communication and collaboration skills to be used daily between non-seasonal leads, HR assistants, scheduling, and security.
Experience setting and meeting goals.
Experience training and leading others.
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
Maintain flexibility to be trained and work in other departments as needed.
Demonstrate extremely reliable attendance.
Ability to remain calm and demonstrate patience in a fast-paced work environment.
Effective verbal and written communication Ability and availability to work extended hours and days during high order volume; especially during PEAK season where long hours are regularly expected.
